We have worked with leading Lincolnshire palliative and end-of-life care charity, St Barnabas Hospice for almost 10 years. In 2015, we were appointed to realign their brand with the quality of their offering after they recognised their current brand was no longer an accurate reflection of their organisation as a well-respected local charity.
We took elements of the existing identity to retain familiarity and created more flexibility to allow the brand to work consistently across multiple channels and across a range of communications, from supporter publications to annual reports with specific consideration given to their shift towards digital communications channels.
“Their creativity and desire to really understand an organisation before starting a major project is what sets the Ruddocks' team apart from others.”
The last 5 years have seen our relationship deepen and grow dramatically following the launch of their refreshed brand, having also created their lottery sub-brand, consulted on the design and style of their new local shops, as well as working with them to enhance their digital offering.
One of the biggest projects we have been commissioned to work with them on is the design and launch of their new website. The main aims and objectives were to improve the user experience in order to support events promotions and participation, as well as continue to drive increased awareness and donations.
Campaigns are fundamental to St Barnabas’s fundraising activities and a large part of our work with them is creating individual brands together with the online and offline fundraising collateral for a number of very successful campaigns, including the hugely emotive Light up a Life, one of their biggest annual campaigns which combines a number of celebration events across Lincolnshire starting with the Torchlight Procession in Lincoln; and Gin and Jammies, their most recent campaign aimed at encouraging groups of friends to fundraise together whilst enjoying a gin or two!
This campaign also attracted a local corporate partner, Pin Gin, to support the event through the creation of the 1982 Gin for which we designed and produced the identity and labels for.
